El Baix Camp

The Baix Camp has other places of interest to the tourist: Samà Park, with its colonial-style mansion house and exotic gardens; Escornalbau Castle, a Romanesque castle-convent; Mont-roig del Camp, where the artist Joan Miró resided on two occasions and which also has a convent; and the mountain town of Prades, much appreciated for its climate and waters. Highlights of the local cuisine include the menjar blanc (blancmange) of Reus, hazelnuts and almonds and the fish of Cambrils

 

El Baix Camp ofrece otros atractivos para el turista: El Parque Samà, edificio de estilo colonial con su jardín exótico; el Castillo de Escornalbou, antiguo convento románico; Mont-roig del Camp donde residió en dos ocasiones el pintor Joan Miró así como la ermita de esta población; o el municipio de Prades lugar apreciado por sus aguas y su clima. En cuanto a la gastronomía, destaca el “menjar blanc” de Reus, los frutos secos y el pescado de Cambrils.
